Aphid Consulting, Inc. ("Aphid Consulting", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at aphidconsulting.ca, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

• Information you provide. When you contact us, request a consultation, submit a support request, or apply for a role, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any details you include in your message.
• Appointment scheduling. When you book a consultation, you are directed to a Google Calendar appointment scheduling page. The information you enter there (such as your name, email, and any notes) is processed by Google on our behalf.
• Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit, for security and operational purposes.
• Cookies. Our own site uses minimal cookies. The third-party services described below may set their own cookies when their content loads.

How we use your information

• Odoo — the business systems (including CRM and Helpdesk) we use to manage enquiries, support requests, and client work.

These providers process information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada.

We disclose personal information only: to service providers who help us operate, under appropriate confidentiality obligations; when required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights; or with your consent.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain our business and client records, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
